The official lineup for Vivid Live 2011 is finally here!

Stephen Pavlovic's selection of acts from on and off the beaten track have been hand-picked in the aim of creating an outer worldly, multi-sensory experience, in the halls of the great, Sydney Opera House.

Prepare your ears and ready your eyes for Spiritualized's iconic Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space, performed in full with a 34-member ensemble. Those eerie melodies of Bat For Lashes are soothing our Australian shores for the first time. Video maverick Chris Cunningham graces the stage with a show destined to launch a thousand trips to everywhere and beyond. And then there's the colourful all ages mayhem of Yo Gabba Gabba.

There's the iconic sounds of Sonny Rollins and Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, ready to remind us of the true origins of music. Meanwhile, at the other end of the spectrum, we have trailblazers OFWGKTA and WU LYF, both of which are currently pushing the boundaries of modern day music. This is all backed by a strong contingent of locals, including the highly anticipated return of The Avalanches, as well as live performances from Cut Copy, Architecture In Helsinki, The Swiss and Softwar. To top it all off there's the true club sound of Sydney, with a series of special nights curated by 2ManyDJs, Club Kooky and Sneaky Sundays, featuring The Crystal Ark, Horse Meat Disco and many many more...

As a suitable companion to all this music is the unique visual component of the festival, including French lighting kings Superbien illuminating the once pristine house sails and director/artist Tom Kuntz creating a custom installation for the Western Foyer.

Tickets for all shows go on sale on Monday, April 4 at 9am via the Opera House website.
