Download: Tame Impala - "41 Mojitos" (Poolside Dub Canyons Remix)
Sometime during the fine year that was 2009, Canyons took the musical liberty of getting all up in fellow Western Australians Tame Impala's track "41 Mosquitoes" and in the process transformed it into a a dusty, hallucinogenic dub remix appropriately titled: "41 Mojitos" (Poolside Dub Remix).

Download: Jonathan Boulet - "North To South East To You" (Alt. Version)
With Jonathan Boulet's first ever Australian headline tour kicking off this week in Northcote, we thought we'd celebrate in charitable style. After wooing every man and his dog with his debut single "A Community Announcement", Jono is set to release single number two, the stirring "North To South East To You" on March 15.

Listen: Exclusive Delphic Remixes (Riton and Phoenix)
It's all happening right now on the Delphic front, with the release of their debut Acolyte (NME's "first great debut of 2010") right around the corner on January 22, we thought we'd toss a few goodies your way to help tide you over. First up is a pair of killer remixes; Riton getting all up in Delphic's own stomper "Doubt" in addition to team Delphic going all French on Phoenix's "Fences". Have a stream, turn up the speakers and invite the neighbours in.
But that's not all. This week's Modcast instalment will be a all-killer-no-filler mix put together by (you guessed it) Delphic, included with a special announcement.

We Love The Reels
"You can't overestimate the importance of this band." - Tom Ellard (Severed Heads)
The Reels incited a revolution from the background. Their electronic pioneering and Oz Rock reactionism was actualised as a subtle surge of musical creativity. They produced music for music's sake, deeply beautiful and melodic with small hints of experimentation. It was, however, their accessibility and understated insurgence that allowed them to shift the focus of Australian music from the stadium to the synthesiser.

Download: The Tough Alliance - "A New Chance" (The Juan MacLean Remix)
The Tough Alliance's A New Chance may be over two years old, but that hasn't stopped DFA electronic maestro, the Juan MacLean, from giving the record's title track a crisp, new reworking taken form the Prison Break remix EP. You can give the track a stream or take something away from the experience by downloading it for yourself.

Download: Van She - "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" (Holy Ghost! Remix)
Not too long ago we prescribed you with Van She's cover of the Blue Oyster Cult classic, "(Don't Fear) The Reaper". But if that fever still persists then we highly recommend that it's about time for your second dosage, in the form of a Holy Ghost! remix of the very same track. As if the original wasn't enough, Holy Ghost! do what they do best and take team Van She's effort and make it their own.
Rumour of the day/week/month: James Murphy wouldn't let Holy Ghost! within an inch of the precious DFA cowbell, so he took a 'personal day and trekked to their studio in Paris to play it himself.
