Sydney upstart Jonathan Boulet gives you his new single, 'This Song Is Called Ragged', from the forthcoming album 'We Keep The Beat, Found The Sound, See The Need, Start The Heart'.

Its currently available as a free MP3-flavored download via the Modular Soundcloud for two weeks only (see the player below).

A swirling, percussive uprising of the most positive kind, the track will be released as a double A-side 7" vinyl with 'Trounce' and digitally with remixes from Dro Carey & Jonti in late May.

Following on from his self-titled debut record, we are pleased to announce Jonathan Boulet's new album 'We Keep The Beat, Found The Sound, See The Need, Start The Heart' will be released this June on Modular Recordings.

His debut, 'Jonathan Boulet', was an accomplished first step for the Sydney native - recorded, played, sung, produced and mixed by a 21 year old in his parent's garage. On 'We Keep The Beat...' Boulet has again taken the reins, but this time he's opened the doors to the garage and let the world in, and it shows.

Recently returning from the wilderness with a trunk full of recordings (and a lovely full beard), restless Sydney song-writer Jonathan Boulet is now gearing up to release his forthcoming second album.

Ahead of this, however, lucky Sydney-siders can catch Boulet and his band showing off the new material (as well as a few classics) on Friday, October 21 at The Standard. Supporting on the night are tuff-as-indie boys Cabins and Balkan-folk-math-metal-Celtic-punks The Crooked Fiddle Band.

Our boy Jonathan Boulet has been quietly busying himself in the studio of late, working on a follow-up to his wonderful self-titled debut.

We've heard what he's been up to and can assure you it's sounding great. Really great. More to come on that in good time. But while you patiently wait over there, we thought we'd make sure you were aware of this little gem.
