Last year, musical madman Beck saw the road most travelled, hopped on his hoverboard and went the other way. He released his album 'Song Reader' as sheet music, relying on the ingenuity and musical talents of his fans to bring it to life. Some of Sydney's finest came together, including our own Jonathan Boulet, and put on a performance late last year at The Standard.

It's been a while since we have seen Jonathan Boulet live and but his absence has not been an idle one. Taking time to increase his manliness ten-fold with a new beard and his catalogue with an incredibly energetic and barnstorming new album, he took the stage with band in tow at the Opera House Studio on Saturday night and proceeded to tear the place to pieces.
The phrase "jack of all, master of all" isn't exactly one that gets bandied about, but is one that may well apply to Jonathan Boulet. A precociously inspired skate rat from Sydney's northwest, Boulet makes a brand of ceremoniously uplifting, deeply colourful pop that sounds like something for which you’ve been searching but never thought you'd find.
