Download: Bumblebeez - "Misfit"
The Bumblebeez are a brother/sister sucker punch unlike any other. No messin'. Though they've been fittingly described as "musical coleslaw", this delicious description is somewhat of an understatement once their back catalogue and erratic brilliance live has been experienced/witnessed.
While Chris Colonna has recently donned his producer hat and helmed the controls on the highly imaginative new Wolf & Cub record, he's managed to find some time to drop an exclusive track for the V Raw project, entitled "Misfit". Made on his Nintendo DSi using the Korg DS software with vox and drums (via the system's inbuilt audio player), the crunchy little 8-bit banger is now out in the ether for all and sundry to absorb.

Ahead of the release their magnificent technicolour spew of a debut album Prince Umberto & The Sister Of Ill, The Bumblebeez presented an equally important siamese twin companion to the music, the visual side of the band, in an art show at Goodhood in Hoxton, London.

Bumblebeez
Straight outta Braidwood in rural New South Wales, Chris Colonna and his sister, Pia better known as Bumblebeez made a notorious name for themselves by cutting and pasting together the kind of conflicting musical ideologies that should seldom be fused. Their schizophrenic debut LP, Prince Umberto and the Sister of Ill, was released in 2007 and featured the feel good summer hits “Dr. Love” and “Rio”. They also once supported the little-known British band Radiohead. No biggie. And as for the future? Outlook good.
